Mothers are special, and here at Alpine Beginnings we firmly believe that they are worth celebrating. And while we think every day should be Mother’s Day, that second Sunday in May is a wonderful opportunity to show the important women in our lives how special they really are.
Preparing for this Mother’s Day has brought back some wonderful memories from a special trip I took last year with an amazing group of women. Take the time to Treat the Skin You’re In!

As many of you will know, I recently introduced the utterly fabulous LaGlam Mineral Makeup range to Alpine Beginnings Beauty and all of my loyal clients. I know that quite a few of you have already begun using the Australian LaGlam products, and you are absolutely loving them.
However I’ve had a few questions from people about how to combine your daily skincare and makeup routines, and whether or not the use of mineral makeup interferes with the effectiveness of your skincare products. The short answer to this last question is… No, absolutely not. The advantages of LaGlam mineral makeup are numerous, and I’ve listed a few of them below.

- Zinc oxide and titanium dioxide are anti-irritating agents, helping soothe skin conditions such as rosacea and acne
- LaGlam mineral makeup feels light on your skin, rather than heavy and suffocating like conventional makeup
- Because of its calmative properties, LaGlam mineral makeup can be used straight after a facial peel, such as the La Clinica facials offered at Alpine Beginnings Beauty.
- Ordinarily, you may need to wait a few days to a week after a facial peel before applying conventional makeup due to the irritation it may cause to newly exposed and sensitive skin. What a night! The bubbles were flowing and eyes were glowing for the second Alpine Beginnings Beauty Open Night for 2016. A fantastic group of my lovely clients attended to hear all about the new products I’m introducing and the new technology available at the salon. I also find that clients love the opportunity to ask questions in a relaxed setting about skincare, makeup, various skin conditions, anti-ageing products and technology. I love being able to share all my years of accumulated knowledge and experience in these areas.
The evening also showcased the unveiling of Alpine Beauty’s new mineral makeup range – La Glam Mineral Makeup! And to introduce this wonderful new produce was the gorgeous, effervescent and very knowledgeable La Glam company founder, Amanda La Monica.
